ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS
The Student Activities Board (SAB) is a student-run group that creates and hosts events on campus to help students connect and have fun. Students can join the SAB, student government, or the student newspaper, The Whalesong, to engage with on-campus activities and get involved.
COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS
UAS is a tight-knit community of professors, advisors, and students on three coastal community campuses in Sitka, Ketchikan, and Juneau. Situated between coastal mountains and the ocean, UAS offers many students a caliber of hands-on learning that's only available at UAS. Students can pursue their academic goals online or on campus. UAS offers a variety of professional certificates, and undergraduate and graduate options.
RESIDENCE LIFE AND HOUSING
UAS Student housing enjoys views of forests, Auke Lake, and Mendenhall Glacier. First-year students can choose from one- and two-bedroom options, while upperclassmen may select a suite and apartments. Family housing is also available. Dining plans are available to students with multiple dining hall and cafe options around campus.
ORGANIZATIONS AND CLUBS
Whether you're passionate or curious, UAS offers clubs and organizations for students to join and explore their interests. Choose from academic clubs that support your studies and improve your resume or social clubs to connect with other students like you. If you don't see the club you're looking for, start one - the Student Engagement & Leadership Office can help.
