Account holders and beneficiaries who have held an account for two or more years in any of the trust's 529 plans can qualify for in-state tuition at any of the University of Alaska locations.

Apply for admission to a University of Alaska campus.

Complete the UA Residency Form

Select "OPTION C: Exemption of Nonresident Surcharge​"

Under OPTION C: Select,"Listed on an active college savings plan account with Alaska 529, T. Rowe Price College Savings Plan, or John Hancock Freedom 529 Plan and have held the account for a minimum of two years prior to the current semester"
