Account holders and beneficiaries who have held an account for two or more years in any of the trust's 529 plans can qualify for in-state tuition at any of the University of Alaska campuses. The savings may be substantial: for the 2022-2023 school year, the in-state tuition and fees were approximately $7,800, while the out-of-state tuition and fees were $24,780.

Under OPTION C: Select Listed on an active college savings plan account with Alaska 529, T. Rowe Price College Savings Plan, or John Hancock Freedom 529 Plan and have held the account for a minimum of two years prior to the current semester
